Woodworm & Rot Treatment
Wood Boring Insects typically affect older buildings, and occasionally, more modern construction. There are many differing types of insects that can infest both hardwoods and softwoods, which could potentially lead to weaken of structural timbers. It is therefore very important to ensure correct identification of the insect present, so that the appropriate treatment or remedial action can be specified.
Wet & Dry rot can affect timbers within all type of properties. This commonly occurs when defects arise and cause an increase in moisture levels within the fabric of the building. Likely causes of fungal decay, include poor sub-floor ventilation, leaking roofs, flashings, defective rainwater goods, external pointing or render, all together with the presence of fungal spores.
